Okay, I'm Back

So I haven't posted in forever.  Here's why.  My life is boring.  This is not a bad thing, just nothing interesting to post about.  Same routine, day in and day out.

So here is an update on the boring HouseHould.  Lyla will be turning 4 in May.  Her attitude is in full force and she may be a little "mean" sometimes.  Her dance recital is coming up along with her last day of 3 year old preschool and her birthday all in a 3 day span.

She loves a good party and her friends, so she is looking forward to her birthday party.  We have been having an unseasonably warm spring here in the Bluegrass so she and Kyle have loved being able to get outside.  We have been to the park several times and she and her best bud Seth got to eat outside at Sonic one day after school.

The warm weather also brought some severe storms with it.  We had a day in early March where pretty much the whole state was on alert.  The kids got out of school early and we all spent the afternoon watching the weather.  Fortunately our area was okay, but some others in KY were not so lucky.  Here is Kyle taking cover in the closet.

Oh and in Kyle bad news to report, he got strep throat again a couple of weeks ago.  I was totally bummed about this given that it had only been 3 and 1/2 months since his tonsillectomy.  He took his course of antibiotics and so far he has been good, so we shall see what the future holds.  I really hope it stays away this time and we don't have to deal with the recurring battle.

We also had a great visit with Grandpa, Gran Jan, and Great Grandma Hould.  They were able to stop in for a couple of days on their way back to Michigan after spending 6 weeks in Destin (lucky).  It was great to see them and we had a wonderful time.

The biggest news right now in these parts is the Kentucky Wildcats are in the Final Four!!!!!  We are so excited around here (except Kyle, who couldn't care less) and cannot wait until this weekend.  GO BIG BLUE!!!

I'll try not to stay away so long next time.  Next month is a big month because we have cousin Chelsi's wedding in which both of my kids are a part of.  (Well no guarantee Lyla will make it down the aisle).  So I know I will have some great photos from that event.
